• You can visit C.A.R.E.'s website for animals for adoption as well as links to low-cost spay and neuter service. Donations can also be made to help fight against the cause of unwanted pets, and to help those unwanted pets find forever homes.
• Petfinder.com is a valuable resource for searching shelters for the pet you'd like and also has information on how to choose and care for that pet after you adopt it. There are listings for most of the local animal sheters on there.
• Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitators has been a God-send to us in the last few years. Many wild animals that would otherwise be euthanized are being completely rehabilitated and released into the wild by this special group of people. They have taken ones of the pains of our job and turned it into a joy. Not enough can be said for what these folks have done for Bartholomew county and the surrounding areas. If you have questions about wildlife(not nuisance wildlife)that we can't answer then this is surely the place to call. They are a 501-3c and any tax deductible donations you could make to them can make a world of difference.
